Nicholas (he/they) is an interdiciplinary artist & educator whose work centers building tools and curriculum to simplify artistic process to provide people with ease of access to aesthetic development. Delving into scenes of image making and sonic reconstruction, Nick's work often times revolves around the affect of process. Emphasis on learning through play is at the root of much of Nick's work.
Working within an open-source framework, these collages aimed to remove authority and ownership over images recycled from abandoned magazines. This practice begun as a therepeutic method to free images from their original source. Initially, cutting paper was soothing and eventually, these images stochastically morphed into compositional prompts that were then cemented via whatever adhesive was around.
